Gateway vs Latrobe 12/11/25
Jax Vovaris and Mykel Bruce-McCrommon led the way with 35 and 17 points respectfully. Jax had (7) 3-pointers and 25 points by halftime. Mykel was being doubled and sometimes triple team and was finding the open guys. It was a total team effort with Chris Settle, Nehemiah Nichols, and Isaiah Allah playing their roles. Gators Swim & Dive Team Defeats Penn Trafford on 12/8/25
The Girls Varsity Swim Team defeated PennTrafford last night by the score of 96-89. Aliya Rassiane, Gianna Laurenti, and Maddie Pekarek earned multiple individual qualifying times for the WPIAL Championships while KK Pekarek, Cat Graves, and Elle Kaminski contributed to the win. Andrea Girgenti and Aria Kaminski placed well on the diving boards to secure the win. The Boys Varsity Swim Team defeated Penn Trafford by the score of 94-74. Leading the way was Senior Captain Gunner Raymer, who qualified 4 individual events for the WPIAL Championships. Dallas Richardson earned a WPIAL birth while John Beighel, Jacob Beighel, Adam Pugliano, Sebastian Seman and Dylan Heasley contributed to the win. Both teams face Armstrong on Wednesday. Come out to support the team!

Winter Sports Physicals 11/3/25
f your student (grade 7-12) is planning on participating in a winter sport and they have not already had their PIAA sports physical for the school year, (sports physicals must be on or after May 1st of each new school year) we will be offering physicals in the high school nurses office on Monday, 11/03/25 from 3pm-5pm. The cost of the physical is $15 cash only. This is a great opportunity if your child cannot schedule with their PCP before the winter athletic forms are due on 11/11/25. If your child participated in a fall sport, you do not need to have a new physical completed. Students should wear shorts and wear their contacts or bring their glasses if they wear them. Please make sure to print out the health history form and PIAA physical form attached and bring them along. Parents/Guardians must complete and sign the health history form prior to the student receiving the physical. Fall Sports Physicals - August 5th
PIAA rules state a student must have a new physical completed each new school year on or after May 1st. This physical will be good for the entire school year providing your child doesn't receive a serious injury during the season. Gateway will be holding another school sports physicals for the upcoming school year on Tuesday, August 5th, from 9am-noon in the high school nurse's office. This is the last one we will hold before fall sports begin. If your student(s) entering grades 7-12 for the upcoming school year are interested in participating in a school sport and has not had their physical completed for the 2025-26 school year, this is a great opportunity to have their physical done before fall sports begin. The cost of the physical is $15 cash only. Students should wear shorts and wear their contacts or bring their glasses if they wear them. High School Bowling National Championship
The Gateway Bowling Gators traveled to Ft. Wayne Indiana to compete in the High School Bowling National Championships this past weekend. Saturday was team event day. The Gators bowled 2979 and finished 32nd. Lead by Allon Wallace Jr 's 422 for 2 games. Sunday was a better day for the Gators. Led by Allon Wallace Jr 839 for 4 games followed by Josh Zlokas 798, Chase Owens 781, Landon Lohr 776, Joey Jurczak 767 and Chris Roseberry 552. The Surviver round cut of 160 bowlers was 778. Allon, Josh and Chase all made the cut. Monday was the finals. It was definitely Allon's day. Shooting 665 in first Surviver round, totaling 1504 and qualifying 48th. After shooting 394 in the 2nd Surviver. Allon finished 40th in the Nation. Allon averaged 212.5 for the tournament.

Congratulations to Gateways Skeet team who finished 2nd place in the state tournament in Huntingdon, PA on June 21st. Great Job done by all the team members on their very first season! Scrimmage Boys Varsity Baseball vs. Shaler Area High School
Boys Varsity BaseballScrimmage against Shaler was a good measuring stick for the program. One tough inning defined this game. Overall Gateways pitchers threw strikes and defended well. The bats will need to wake up for this team to find success. There were a lot of positives to take away from this pre season scrimmage.
