PIAA rules state a student must have a new physical completed each new school year on or after May 1st. This physical will be good for the entire school year providing your child doesn't receive a serious injury during the season. Gateway will be holding school sports physicals for the upcoming school year on Thursday, June 4th, from 8am-noon in the high school nurse's office.   If your student(s) entering grades 7-12 for the upcoming school year are interested in participating in a school sport and has not had their physical completed for the 2026-27 school year, this is a great opportunity to have their physical done before fall sports begin.  The cost of the physical is $15 cash only. Students should wear shorts and wear their contacts or bring their glasses if they wear them. Please make sure to print out the attached forms and bring them along. Parents/Guardians must complete and sign the health history form prior to the student receiving the physical.
